Our local Borders Books & Cafe can hold quite a crowd, we and they have discovered. Here, they were standing all the way back to the Self-Help section!
At right, we must sigh and offer a caveat: Now that she's a teenager, will soon be taller than us, and is talking college prep, Amelia Egland doesn't do this any more. But was she ever good to us as our tip girl, back in the day. Ah, fleeting youth... ah, how time flies away... and oh, the lost revenue ...!
